Still with me?

Since we are celebrating the announcement of the NEW Doodlelicious Divas, I made a card using the CUTE Fiesta Girl Ava image from the Fiesta Kids Collection.

(sorry for the blurry pics, my camera doesn't like pink)
Supplies Used:
The Paper Company(White), Bazzill Basics(Bitter Chocolate), Pebbles Inc(Twitterpated), Whimsie Doodles(Fiesta Kids), PrismaColor Pencils, My Craft Spot("Pink Sorbet" Twinery Twine), Misc(Dew Drops, Mulberry Rose).
Finished Size: 4-1/4" x 5-1/2"

I just LOVE this DARLING girl!! Her hair is soo CUTE and she's hold MA-RA-CAS!!

I based the card on a older Sweet Sunday Sketch #157, rotated.

I tied some "Pink Sorbet" Twinery Twine - available at My Craft Spot - around the card and made a double-loop bow centered with a yellow Mulberry Rose. I added  a small sentiment strip, "stamped" with the "Fiesta" sentiment that is INCLUDED in the Fiesta Kids Collection from Whimsie Doodles.

Here's quick look at the inside.

Ok, time to keep "Hopping". Your next stop is Judy's Blog. Please go give her a WARM welcome to the Whimsie Doodles Family!

There is PRIZE up for grabs at Paper Issues for one participant that leaves a comment at Paper Issues.

How fun is that?!

~*~

For my APPLE FOR TEACHER project, I thought it would only be appropiate if I made some sort of APPLE.

I used my Cricut Expression2 and Cricut "Stretch Your Imagination" Cartridge to create this 3D Apple Slice Box. The APPLE is actually the Watermelon image(pg. 34) cut at 5" with a few tweaks to turn it into an APPLE SLICE BOX.

The APPLE was cut from the backside of the Pink Paislee "Windstock" Paper from the Pink Paislee Declaration Kit, I purchased from the Paper Issues' Store. For the peel, I used the "Parade" Paper from the My Mind's Eye On the Sunny Side, also purchased at the Paper Issues' Store. - Don't forget to use the coupon code SCRAPPINCOOKIE for your 20% off. -

This APPLE SLICE Gift Set will be given to my son's TEACHER on the First Day of School filled with APPLE flavored candy, maybe Jolly Ranchers - although I think those are green.

I used some of My Craft Spot's "Scarlet Red" Crinkle Ribbon to tie around the entire APPLE SLICE BOX and make a double-loop bow.

The Tiny Tag was made using the "Tiny Tags" Metal Dies from My Craft Spot. I then stamped the "Enjoy" Sentiment from the "Tiny Tags2" Stamp Set also from My Craft Spot. Adhered it to the bow with some "Traditional Cherry" Baker's Twine - available at My Craft Spot - and a Mulberry Paper Rose.

Of course, no Gift Set would be complete without a card.

I based the card on the Deconstructed Sketch #63.

I used my EK Success Binding Edge Punch, Washi Tape - I see a NEW addiction coming - and some more "Traditional Cherry" Baker's Twine.

The "An Apple for the Teacher" sentiment is a digital stamp I found at the Brown Paper Packages Blog. I cut a 2-3/4" Leaves Label from the Cricut Elegant Edges Cartridge and then printed the sentiment on top.

I basically used the same sketch for the inside only leaving some space for a personal message for my son's TEACHER.

NOW, if you are still with me, its YOUR turn!! For the next TWO weeks - from TODAY(8/26) to Spetember 8th - Paper Issues is ALL about APPLE FOR TEACHERS!! LINK UP your APPLE FOR TEACHER - teacher gifts, back to school projects, etc- projects made from paper for your chance to be featured at Paper Issues.

My Craft Spot DT Post - S'mores Kit

Cricut Expression2, Cricut Cartridges(Plantin SchoolBook, Life's A Party, Create A Critter, Craft Room Basics), Bazzill Basics(Carob - dk brown, Pollen - yellow), Core'dinations(Burnt Sugar - brown, Autumn - orange), The Paper Company(Whipped Cream), Bo Bunny( Roughin' It Collection), My Craft Spot("Milk Chocolate" Crinkle Ribbon, "Traditional Chocolate" Baker's Twine, "Tiny Tags2" Stamp Set, "Tiny Tags" Metal Dies), Misc(Buttons, Graham Crackers, Marshmellows, Chocolate Bar).
Finished Size: 3"w x 6"h x 1.5"d.

Hi Everyone!

Thank You for joining me today for another DT Day over at My Craft Spot!

Today I'm sharing a quick and fast S'MORES KIT made for this week's My Craft Spot Monday Challenge #66 - Under the Stars(camping theme). For FULL details on the challenge, please click HERE.

Due to an unexpected Living Room renovation and an unforseen accident - my desk got hit and fell apart -, I wasn't able to share this S'MORES KIT with you on Monday with the rest of the DT Reveals.

The box is from the Cricut Life's A Party Cartridge cut at 7-1/2". I made a few alterations to the BackPack(pg.63) to make it similar to the SplitCoastStampers Round Top Box.

I filled the S'MORES KIT with enough ingredients to make 2 S'MORES.

I used a Make n' Mold Pretzel Bag for the Graham Crackers. I cut a Scallop Border at 7/8" from the Cricut Plantin SchoolBook Cartridge and wrapped it around the crackers. I added some of My Craft Spot's "Milk Chocolate" Crinkle Ribbon and tied it all with some "Traditional Chocolate" Baker's Twine - available HERE at My Craft Spot.

For the Marshmellows, I used the smaller Make n' Mold Treat Bags. I welded together two(2) Scallop Borders from the Cricut Platin SchoolBook Cartridge at 1/2" each to wrap it around the Marshmellow Bag.

I added a tag cut with the Tiny Tags Metal Dies and stamped with various sentiments of the My Craft Spot "Tiny Tags2" Stamp Set to each of the bags.

The front of the S'MORES KIT box, was embellished with a Bonfire cut from the Cricut Create-A-Critter Cartridge at 1-5/8". I used the Cricut Craft Room Bascis font to make the S'MORE KIT title at 1/2".

Lastly, I added the "Have a Happy Day" sentiment from the Tiny Tags2 Stamp Set - available for purchase HERE. The sentiment is meant to be used as part of a Tiny Tag, so in order to have it fit the sentiment strip I went masking and stamping the sentiment to get the look I wanted.

I hope to have inspired you to use some of the amazing My Craft Spot products and use the stamps in creative ways.

If you haven't already joined this week's UNDER THE STARS(camping theme) challenge, there's still time!! You have until Monday, August 20th 11:59PM MST to enter for your chance to win this week's prize!

Core Cards Creative Frenzy - Core'dinations DT Call

Hi Everyone,

I'm here today with a quick post for the Core'dinations Card Designer Design Team Call!

A few days ago, I learned that Core'dinations is having a Card Designer DT Call and I thought I would submit an application to be part of the Core'dinations Family. I would LOVE to be part of the Core'dinations Design Team!

I've started using my Core'dinations Cardstock again after having horrible difficulties with my previous cardstock and my Cricut. I was SOOO surprised at how CLEAN, SMOOTH, and EASY it was cut my Core'dinations Cardstock with my Cricut Expression Machine. It was like cutting "Butter with a Knife".

For the Design Team Call we are being asked to post THREE projects, where NEW projects or the use of Core'dinations Cardstock is not required. However, it happens to be that my FAVORITE creations right now use Core'dinations Cardstock, so I thought I would share these with the Core'dinations Family.

Baby Sock Cupcake Gift Set

A few weeks ago, I created this Baby Sock Cupcake Gift Set for the My Craft Spot OH BABY! Challenge.

I used the Core'dinations "Pink Tutu" Cardstock from the Vintage Collection to creat the lid for my Gift Box, as well as to create a matching card. It's a PERFECT match to the color scheme I went with for this project. The pre-sanded look of the Vintage Cardstock gave the project the SOFT and SUBTLE look I needed for this project. In addition, I sanded down the edges of the lid a little bit more for an even softer look.

After creating the Lid, I was left with a 4.25" x 12"  piece of paper perfect to create a matching card. However, being the paper hoarder I am and not wanting to use up ALL of my "Pink Tutu" Core'dinations Cardstock I only used an A2(4.25" x 5.5") piece and adhered it to a white pre-scored card base I had. I also used a smaller piece to cover up the white backing of my patterned paper when I folded the corner.

Baby Girl Pacifier Shaped Card

My second project was also made for the My Craft Spot OH BABY Challenge!.

I used the remaining piece of  the Core'dinations "Pink Tutu" Vintage Cardstock to cut out the Pacifier's Nipple and to create two small roses.

Using the Vintage Cardstock gave the roses a Two-Toned effect. I love using Core'dination Cardstock for small details like this, because you can sand it, tear it, emboss it and it will hold up to give your project an amazing look.

Poinsettia Holiday Tags

My last project was created back in December 2011.

Published in the Cricut Magazine August 2012

I used the Core'dinations "Burnt Sugar" Vintage Cardstock to cut out the Tags from my Cricut Plantin SchoolBook Cartridge.

The Poinsettia Flowers were cut using the "Angel Orchid" Vintage Cardstock. I lightly sanded the edges of the Poinsettia Flower and sprayed it with some "Pearl" Glimmer Mist to give it a soft and shiny look. Then centered 3 different sized pearls.

For more of my work using Core'dinations Cardstock, please HERE.

I'd greatly appreciate if you could wish me some LUCK on this DT Call. I'd LOVE to be part of the Core'dinatons DT. I believe I share their same love and enthusiasm for papercrafting.

Wish me LUCK!

Hi Everyone!

Today is my DT Day over at My Craft Spot and I created an adorable shaped card that is perfect for this week's My Craft Spot Monday Challenge #64 - OH BABY! For FULL details, click HERE.

I love finding inspiration in photos, store items, nature, sketches, etc. and this Baby Girl Pacifier wasn't the exemption. I found a BEAUTIFUL ceramic Baby Girl Pacifier Favor online and based my card on it.

The pacifier is from the Cricut Simply Charmed Cartridge cut at 5-1/2".

I used the Cricut Flower Shoppe Cartridge to create all the Roses. I used the "Scallop4" Flower cut at 5/8" x2,  3/4" x2 and 7/8" to create the larger Rose.

The two smaller ones were cut at the same size, only omitting the 7/8" piece. I used some of Core'dinations Vintage Cardstock to give the Rose a Two-Toned effect. I love using Core'dination Cardstock for small details like this, because you can sand it, tear it, emboss it and it will hold up to give your project an amazing look. Not only that, but it cuts like BUTTER on my Cricut Expression2.

The sentiment is from the JUST RELEASED "Bundle of Joy" Stamp Set - available for purchase HERE.

I used some of the My Craft Spot "Vanilla Bean" Crinkle Ribbon to replicate the ruffled lace on the Baby Girl Pacifier Favor(see picture above) and some of the "Posy" Trendy Twine - available here at My Craft Spot - around the edges.

The inside of the card, was stamped with the "Sugar & Spice, and everything nice" Sentiment from the My Craft Spot "New Arrival" Stamp Set. Due to the shape of the Baby Girl Pacifier Shaped Card, there isn't much room left for a personal message.

No card of mine would be complete without some dimension. Here is a quick look at the layers.

I hope to have inspired you to use some of the amazing My Craft Spot products and see inpsirational pieces all around you.

If you haven't already joined this week's OH BABY! challenge, there's still time!! You have until Monday, August 6th 11:59PM MST to enter for your chance to win this week's prize!
Thank You for joining me over at My Craft Spot!
