Hello Everyone!

I can't believe that the school year is OFFICIALLY over and SUMMER is upon us! Both  my little ones finished school last week and are moving on to Kindergarten and 3rd Grade!! Sometimes I have to blink twice and stare at them just to realize how BIG they have gotten.

Despite the fact that I had said I wasn't going to be making End of the Year Teacher Gifts this year due to a hectic crafty and everyday life schedule, I did them anyways. It all came together when I made a quick stop at my local Target store and found an ADORABLE 2pk plastic Fruit Containers.

This is the smaller Fruit Container of the set - the larger one left without getting a photo shoot. I filled the basket with some 3D Strawberries with chocolate kisses inside. I used a 3D Strawberry file I designed last year - available upon comment request -, but if you have the Cricut Spring Cottage Cartridge you can cut them out at 3.25".

Before filling and closing the 3D Strawberries, I ran them thru my Cuttlebug Machine and de-bossed using the "Swiss Dots" Embossing Folder. I then doodled some lines and dots with my Sakura Gel Pen. The strawberries were closed using some Twinery "Peapod" Twine - available at My Craft Spot. After 26+ strawberries, my "Peapod" Twine finished and I had to use the Trendy Twine "Twisted Lime" Twine.

I wrapped some My Craft Spot Scarlet Red Crinkle Ribbon around the fruit container and added a small mulberry paper rose.

Here's a little secret - these BERRY BASKETS were made the night before school ended; I pulled "an all nighter". LOL! And with all the rush of getting them finished in time, I completely forgot to add a small tag using the My Craft Spot "Thanks" Tiny Tags Stamp Sentiment.

Before sending these out to my sons' teacher, I placed them in a large cellophane bag.

I hope you have enjoyed my BERRY BASKET Gift Set.

Hello Everyone!

Thank You for joining me for my 2nd part of these End of Year Teacher Gifts!

I made another gift set for my son's Pre-K Teacher Aide, a BERRY SMOOTHIE. It uses the same "Berry Thankful" theme as the BERRY BASKET, but this time inside of a clear plastic tumbler.

Just like the BERRY BASKETS, I filled the plastic tumbler with some 3D Strawberries with chocolate kisses inside.

The strawberries were closed using some Trendy Twine "Twisted Lime" Twine - available at My Craft Spot

I tied some more My Craft Spot Scarlet Red Crinkle Ribbon around the plastic tumbler and centered a mulberry flower with a tag stamped with the My Craft Spot "Thanks" Tiny Tags Stamp Sentiment.

To finish off the BERRY SMOOTHIE, I placed it in a large cellophane bag.

I hope you have enjoyed my BERRY SMOOTHIE Gift Set.

Hello Again!

I almost forgot to show you the card I made with the ADORABLE digital stamp my no-longer preschooler colored in.

He used the Whimsie Doodles "Berry Much" Digital Stamp - discontinued. The "Thank You" and inside sentiment of the card came with the Digital Stamp.

The papers are from the My Mind's Eye On the Sunny Side 6x6 Paper Pad, I got from the Paper Issues' Etsy Store. Be sure to grab your 20% OFF discount code to the Paper Issues' Store by visiting my sidebar.

For the inside of the card, I recolored the digital stamp using MS Word and printed it out in a smaller size adding the remaining sentiment beside it. Please excuse the "red strips", they are there for privacy.

The card was tucked in along with the BERRY BASKET and BERRY SMOOTHIE.

Thank You for joining me for this End of Year Teacher Gifts 2012 Collection!

My Craft Spot Monday Challenge "Whats Your Age?" - Birthday Ages 8 & 5

Hi Everyone!

~*~

~*~

This week's challenge is "What's Your Age?". Simply create a  NEW - no backlinking, please - Birthday Card with a NUMBER on it.

This is a GREAT challenge for me, as my two little boys are celebrating their BIRTHDAYS' this month and next. I can't believe how old they are going to be...it seems like just yesterday that I found out I was pregnant.

~*~
The oldest one is going to be 8! He's such a BOY and is into Pokemon, Ben10, Thundercats and anything that has to do action/fighting.

I wanted to make him a card that is a bit less childish. He's already asking for permission to walk home ALONE!?!

I used the Basic Grey Life of the Party 6x6 Paper Pad Collection. All cuts were made with my Cricut Expression. The tag was cut from the Plantin SchoolBook Cartridge at 4-1/4". The NUMBER 8 was cut at 2-1/2" REAL from the Birthday Bash Cartridge. The two matting circles are also from the Birthday Bash Cartridge cut at 2-5/8" and 2-3/4".

In order to fit the 3 stars from the Plantin SchoolBook Cartridge sized at 3/4", 7/8", and 1", I masked off part of the "Happy Birthday to you!" sentiment from the My Craft Spot Birthday Wishes Stamp Set. I stamped the sentiment onto a  resized .75" x 3.75" Flag13 from the Party Picks and Pennants Craft Room Exculsive.

I cut the NUMBER 8 from Bazzill "Quicksand" Cardstock and ran it thru my cuttlebug with the Distress Stripes Embossing Folder.

I added some Orange Marmelade Crinkle Ribbon from My Craft Spot to the tag. I tied some Blueberry Divine Divine Twine - also available at My Craft Spot -  around the crinkle ribbon.

For the inside I used another sentiment from the "Birthday Wishes" Stamp Set and left room for a personal message.

Here's a quick look at the layers.

~*~

Now, this second card really made me cry. This is for my BABY! My LAST baby! I have no idea where the time has gone. I can't believe he's going to be 5 and last week we celebrated his GRADUATION from PRESCHOOL!!!

This little boy is so silly and funny - he refuses to give me a kiss in public!?! And although I'm not too happy with the design of the card, I'm sure that my baby - cause thats what he's to me - will have fun with it.

The scalloped circle base was cut using the Card Feature from the Cricut Birthday Bash Cartridge at 5-1/4". The yellow star is from the Cricut Simply Charmed Cartridge cut at 3". And the orange star is from the Cricut Birthday Bash cut at 1-3/4".

The NUMBER 5 is from the Cricut Birthday Bash Cartridge cut at 2-1/4" REAL.

I made a triple-loop bow out of Cherry Divine Divine Twine - available at My Craft Spot - and added it to the smaller star.

The "Happy Birthday" sentiment is from the My Craft Spot "Birthday Wishes" Stamp Set.

For the inside I used another sentiment from the "Birthday Wishes" Stamp Set.

~*~

If you're still with me, its YOUR turn! Link up your BIRTHDAY - WHATS YOUR AGE? creations to the My Craft Spot Monday Challenge by Monday, June 11th 11:59PM for your chance to win this week's prize. For RULES, please visit My Craft Spot.
