~*~
For my Upcycled-Themed Project, I re-purposed an empty Strawberry Container.

Both of my little boys are collecting Box Tops for their school and these Box Tops tabs are ALL OVER my kitchen! If you have kids in grades K-8 you KNOW what I'm talking about. They are ALL OVER the place - in drawers, on the table, in the cookie jar, etc - so I knew I had to do something about it.

I always have several fruit/vegetable containers sitting in the recycle bin and that got me thinking. The Strawberry Containers would be a PERFECT holder for these Box Tops. They are big enough to hold several Box Tops - especially during the summer - and even have a little slot opening to just drop in the Box Tops tabs.

They open/close easily, so removing the Box Tops isn't a problem at all.

The polka dot ribbon about the container is also RECYCLED. It was part of another package I got as a present and saved it for later use.

The lid was embellished with papers from the Scenic Route Appleton Collection(discontinued) and Cosmo Cricket The Boyfriend Collection(discontinued).

The pennants were cut from the Cricut Craft Room Party Picks and Pennants at 1.5" and 5/8" REAL. The scalloped circle is from the Cricut Craft Room Basics cut at 3" REAL. The letters were cut at .5" from the Cricut Birthday Bash Cartridge. And the apple is from the Cricut Create-A-Critter Cartridge cut at 1.25".

Now it's your turn! Let's see your Upcycled-Themed projects! Make sure to include a Cricut Cut somewhere on your project!

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to the Scrappy Moms April Release Party!!

I'm so excited to be the Guest Designer for Scrappy Moms Stamps April 2012 Release! All week long(April. 20th - April 26th) the Scrappy Moms Stamps Design Team and I will be showcasing the TWO BRAND NEW, JUST RELEASED Stamp Sets. There will be TONS of inspiration and maybe a prize or two along the way, so you won't want to miss it!!!

For today's project, I used the BRAND NEW "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" Stamp Set - now available for purchase.

As soon as I saw this set I thought about Cocktails and Mixed Drinks. I searched and searched for some sort of "Drink" image, but wasn't happy with what I was coming up with. Until I got an email from Cricut Promotions with their RECENTLY RELEASED Digital Cartridges. I just couldn't believe my eyes when I saw Cricut Craft Room Exculive "Mixed Drinks" Cartridge!! It was PERFECT for my vision and the STRAWBERRY DAIQUIRI Shaped Card was born.

I don't like to toot my own horn, but I just LOVE how this turned out! It would make PERFECT "Girls Night Out" invites or a 21st Birthday Card, so many possibilities.

The image was cut at 5.75" from the Cricut Craft Room "Mixed Drinks" Exculsive Cartridge. It was given several layers to make it look like an actual drink.

The Strawberry was cut from the My Mind's Eye On the Bright Side ONE and TWO 6x6 paper pads I purchased at Paper Issues' Etsy Store - look for your 20% discount code on the right sidebar. I cut the stem out twice to layer it. I added some Queen & Co "Nightfall" Pearls for seeds.

Instead of using patterned paper for the Straw, I decided to use some of the "Strawberry Cupcake" Trendy Twine available at My Craft Spot. I love the swirls of pink and white, makes it look like a real Straw.

To give the STRAWBERRY DAIQUIRI Shaped Card a real glass look, I made one last layer cut from Graphix Clear Plastic Sheets. I purchased the Clear Plastic Sheets from the Paper Issues Etsy Store, please Convo Cassie if interested. This gave the card a very nice shiny glass finish.

I made a double-loop bow from my very last piece of "Raspberry Truffle" Crinkled Ribbon from My Craft Spot.

I then stamped the "Girls Night Out" Sentiment Phrase from the JUST RELEASED Scrappy Moms Stamps' "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" Stamp Set - available for purchase now. To finish it all off, I topped the Sentiment Tag with some "Strawberry Cupcake" Trendy Twine - available at My Craft Spot - and a button.

The side Flowers were cut out twice from the My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Market Street 6x6 paper pad - as was the "drink" -  for layering and I added a Queen & Co. "Pearl" Pearl.

I felt the inside of the card needed to be "complete" and not left entirely blank. I stamped the inside with the "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!" sentiment from the JUST RELEASED Scrappy Moms Stamps' "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" Stamp Set - available for purchase now.

This STRAWBERRY DAIQUIRI Shaped Card is now available for purchase at my Etsy Store - ScrappinCookie.

I hope you have enjoyed my project using the "Girls Night Out!" and "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" Phrases from the Scrappy Moms Stamps' "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!" Stamp Set.

Please be sure to check back in Tomorrow, April 26th for the LAST day of the April Release Party and another project using ONE of these TWO BRAND NEW, JUST RELEASED Stamp Sets. Now, head on over to Scrappy Moms Stamps for more inspiration!

For today's project, I used the BRAND NEW "Little Critters" Stamp Set - now available for purchase.

What a CUTE set! Filled with PUNNY CRITTER phrases, its just perfect for your critter cards and projects.

I've always LOVED the "I'm Bananas over you!" Sentiments used around Valentine's Day, so I knew I just HAD to use it. Who says you can't use it any other day of the week, too?

I know it technically says "Bananas", but I couldn't help myself and made a Banana Shaped Card. The banana is from the Cricut Create-A-Critter Cartridge and was cut at 5.5".

I stamped the "Banana" with the Peachy Keen "Critter Faces - Med" Stamps. I used two different stamps; one for the eyebrows, eyes and nose and one for the mouth.

The "Peel" was popped-out using some of my homemade dimensionals.

I added the sentiment tag stamped with the "I'm Bananas Over You!" Phrase from the Scrappy Moms Stamps "Little Critters" Stamp Set. I made a small double-loop bow using the "Buttercup" Crinkled Ribbon from My Craft Spot and  topped it off with some "Kraft" Trendy Twine - also available at My Craft Spot.

The inside of the card was left blank for a more personal message.

This BANANA Shaped Card is now available for purchase at my Etsy Store - ScrappinCookie.

I hope you have enjoyed my project using the "I'm Bananas over you!" Phrase from the Scrappy Moms Stamps' "Little Critters!" Stamp Set.

Please be sure to check back in Tomorrow, April 25th for another project using ONE of these TWO BRAND NEW, JUST RELEASED Stamp Sets. Now, head on over to Scrappy Moms Stamps for more inspiration!

For today's project, I used the BRAND NEW "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" Stamp Set - now available for purchase.

This set is filled with FUN and GIRLY phrases, perfect for your Best Friends!

What girl doesn't like Chocloate, even if its just a little piece?

I used the Cricut Lite Sweet Shop Cartridge to make this Chocolate Candy Bar Shaped Card. All layers were cut at 5.5".

Using the Cricut Craft Room program, I manipulated the layers a bit to have the "Chocolate Square" pieces pop-up from the "Chocolate Bar". The wrapper was also cut several times to make it stand out more.

I wrapped some "Hot Pink" Crinkled Ribbon from My Craft Spot around the Chocolate Bar and created a triple-loop bow.

The tag was cut from the Cricut Plantin SchoolBook Cartridge and stamped with the "Good Friends and Chocolate..." sentiment from the JUST RELEASED Scrappy Moms Stamps' "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" Stamp Set - available for purchase now.

To finish it all off, I topped the Sentiment Tag with some "Strawberry Cupcake" Trendy Twine - available at My Craft Spot - and a Mulberry Paper Rose. I added some "Frosted Lace" Stickles to the Rose.

The inside of the card was left blank for a more personal message.

I hope you have enjoyed my project using the "Good Friends and Chocolate make everything better!" Phrase from the Scrappy Moms Stamps' "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!" Stamp Set.

For my first project, I used the BRAND NEW "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" Stamp Set - now available for purchase.

This set is filled with FUN and GIRLY phrases, perfect for your Best Friends! I decided to use the "Mani- Pedi?" Sentiment and create a small Mani-Pedi Kit perfect for GIRLY Mani-Pedi Party.

Although I only made one here, my idea is for every girl to receive her own Mani-Pedi Kit.

The Kit is filled with a complete Manicure/Pedicure Set - Pedicure File, Separators, Nail Files, Nail Brush, Cuticle Pushers, Nail Cutter, Nail Polish Remover, Nail Polish, and Hand Saniziter.

The box is from the Cricut Life's A Party Cartridge. I made a few alterations to the BackPack(pg.63) to make it similar to the SplitCoastStampers Round Top Box. I used my Cricut Design Studio to hide all the score marks - the Cricut Craft Room wouldn't allow me to do this.

The Flower and Leaves was made from the Criuct Accent Essentials Cartridge. I cut the Accnt31s at 2", 1-5/8", 7/8" to layer them. The Accnt42s leaves were cut at 1".

Before layering them together, I distressed the edges and gave them a light touch with brown ink. I adhered it to some "Kraft" Trendy Twine from My Craft Spot and then to the box.

In between the second and third layer, I added the sentiment strip stamped with the "Mani-Pedi?" phrase from the Scrappy Moms Stamps' "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" Stamp Set.

I hope you have enjoyed my project using the "Mani-Pedi?" Phrase from the Scrappy Moms Stamps' "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" Stamp Set.

Please be sure to check back in Tomorrow, April 21st for another project using ONE of these TWO BRAND NEW, JUST RELEASED Stamp Sets. Now, head on over to Scrappy Moms Stamps for more inspiration!
