My Craft Spot DT Post - Halloween Lollipop Holders

Hello Everyone!

Thank You for joining me over at My Craft Spot!

I'm so happy to be sharing with you some Halloween Lollipop Treat Holders I've created.

Halloween is only 4 days away, I've been trying to get an early start on ideas Halloween Treats for my boy's classmates. I've been seeing several Lollipop Holders in galleries and blogs and think these are a perfect Halloween Treat. Here is a more dressed up version, the ones for my boys will be more kid friendly.

I don't own a Lollipop Treat die, so using Cricut Craft Room I designed my own Lollipop Treat Holder - available via comment request - to coordinate with the My Craft Spot "Tiny Doilies" Metal Dies.

"Treat or Treat" Sentiment from the My Craft Spot "Stampin Around Fall" Stamp Set.

These are so easy to create since you can cut out several of the holders at a time. I then cut the "Scalloped Circle", "Lacey Circle" and "Large Circle" from the My Craft Spot "Tiny Doiles" Metal Dies using my Cuttlebug Machine.

"Spiders, Ghosts, Etc" from Stampin Around Fall Stamp Set.

The "Large Circle" was then stamped with the Halloween Sentiments from the My Craft Spot "Stampin Around Fall" Stamp Set. The "Scalloped Circle" Topper was then adhered to the Lollipop Holder.

I then used my eyelet setter to punch some small holes on the assembled "Tiny Doily" Circle and used some "Black" Trendy Twine - available HERE at My Craft Spot - to hold a Blow-Pop Lollipop inside. To keep it all closed, I added a small button and tied a simple bow.

This is the side view of the Lollipop Holder.

All the papers are from the Echo Park Chillingsworth Manor 6x6 Paper Pad I purchased at the Paper Issues Store - be sure to get your 20% discount code on my sidebar.

Here is a quick view of the back. I designed the Lollipop Treat Holder - available via comment request - in two parts : the Holder and Liners, this way there is no waste of paper and you can use up some scraps.

I hope you have enjoyed my quick and easy Lollipop Treat Holders.
Don't forget there is still time to play along this week's LITTLE MONSTER challenge, there's still time!! You have until Monday, October 29th 11:59PM MST to enter for your chance to win this week's prize!

My Craft Spot DT Post - Happy Hauntings from Vampire Bee

Hello Everyone,

Thank You for joining me over at My Craft Spot today!

Today have an adorable shaped card with this week's My Craft Spot Monday Challenge #74 - LITTLE MONSTERS Challenge in mind. For FULL details on the challenge, please click HERE.

The vampire bee is from the Cricut Create A Critter 2 Cartridge cut at 5-1/2". I cut the "VampBee/Basic Layer" twice - one from cardstock and one from vellum so I could let the "Wings" stand on their own.

I cut and adhered the layers slightly different than suggested in the Cricut Create A Critter 2 handbook. I cut the "Cape" from a scrap piece of paper from the Echo Park Paper Chillingsworth Manor - can you tell I {heart} this paper pad? Added  Black Diamond Stickles around it and popped it out with my homemade dimensionals.

I made a small bow with some "Lilac" Twinery Twine - available HERE at My Craft Spot - and used a button to keep the Vampire Cape "closed". Underneath the button, I tucked in a sentiment striped stamped with the "Happy Haunting!" Sentiment from the My Craft Spot "Happy Haunting" Stamp Set.

I also added some "Black" Twinery Twine to the LITTLE MONSTER'S antenna's and a Black Pearl.

To the inside, I stamped the "Have a Hauntingly Delightful Halloween" Sentiment from the My Craft Spot "Ghostly Greetings" Stamp Set - available HERE.

Here is a quick look at the layers.

I hope you have enjoyed my LITTLE MONSTER Shaped Card.

My Craft Spot Monday Challenge #74 - You're Monsterrific!

Hello Everyone!

This week's My Craft Spot Monday Challenge is all about - LITTLE MONSTERS

Simply create a NEW - no backlinking, please- card, layout, project, etc with a LITTLE MONSTER. Projects DON'T have to be Halloween related.

For my LITTLE MONSTERS project, I wanted to do something besides a shaped card, something different. Funny thing is, I ended up with a shaped card - A Square Postage Shaped Card - which I'm not too happy with. But I do have to say its growing on me...

The base was cut from the Cricut Birthday Bash at 5.5". The "grass" is from the Cricut Paper Doll Dress Up Cartridge. The "moon", "clouds" and "fence" are from the Cricut Create A Critter 2 Cartridge.

The LITTLE MONSTER was cut from the Cricut Create A Critter 2 Cartridge at 2.75" using up some more scraps from the Echo Park Paper Chillingsworth Manor 6x6 Paper Pad.

I popped out his hat and tied some "Orange Licorice" Trendy Twine - available at My Craft Spot - around his hat.

I stamped the "You're Monsterrific" Sentiment from the My Craft Spot "Happy Haunting" Stamp Set on upper right cloud.

For the card's inside I used the "...Monsterously Fun Halloween" Sentiment also from the My Craft Spot "Happy Haunting" Stamp Set

NOW, its YOUR turn! Create a NEW - no backlinking pleaseLITTLE MONSTERS! project and link it up to the My Craft Spot Blog by Monday, October 29th 11:59PM MST for your chance to win this week's prize.

Whimsie Doodles DT Post - What's Cookin?

Supplies Used:
Whimsie Doodles(Turkey Baster), PrismaColor Pencils, Bazzil Basic Cardstock(Carob), Nicole Crafts(Kraft), Simple Stories(Harvest Lane), My Craft Spot("Happy Thanksgiving" Stamp Set), Queen & Co Pearls(Sky Blue), Misc(Burlap, Rhinestones)
Finished Size: 4.25"W x 5.5"H

Hello Everyone!

Thank You for joining me over at Whimsie Doodles today!

I'm here today to share with a quick card I made using the "Turkey Baster" Image from the Whimsie Doodles' October Release that would be PERFECT for this month's Whimsie Challenge - IT'S FALL Y'ALL.
You can find him in the "What's New" section of the Whimsie Doodles Store during the month of October. Afterwards, be sure to look for him in the "Holidays/Events" section of the store.

I based the card on the Card Patterns Sketch #167 - its one of my FAVORITE  go-to-sketches. I'm so sad they had their final sketch during the summer.

All the papers are from the Simple Stories 6x6 Paper Pad I purchased at the Paper Issues Store - be sure to get your 20% discount code on my sidebar.
I paired Whimsie Doodles' "Turkey Baster" Image with the "What's Cookin'?" Sentiment from the My Craft Spot "Happy Thanksgiving" Stamp Set.

I also added "Turkey Baster"  to the inside of my card. Using MS Word I cropped and recolored the image before printing it. The "Happy Thanksgiving" Sentiment is also from the My Craft Spot "Happy Thanksgiving" Stamp Set. But I was in a bit of a rush and completely forgot to take a picture of the card's inside. So Sorry.

I hope you have enjoyed my quick "WHAT'S COOKIN" Card using the Whimsie Doodles' "Turkey Baster".

Be sure to check out the Whimsie Doodles Store for more ADORABLE images.

For more DOODLELICIOUS inspiration, be sure to check the Whimise Doodles Blog EVERYDAY!

And don't forget to join us for Whimsie Doodles' October Challenge IT'S FALL Y'ALL. You have until  Monday, October 24th! You won't want to miss it!

My Craft Spot DT Post - Best Witches...

Supplies Used:
My Craft Spot("Best Witches" Stamp Set, "Toadally Green" Crinkle Ribbon, "Orange Licorice" Trendy Twine, "Buttercup" Trendy Twine), Cricut Expression2, Cricut Cartridges(Create A Critter2, Plantin SchoolBook), Bazzill Basics Cardstock(QuickSand, Pollen, Parakeet), Echo Park Paper(Chillingsworth Manor), My Mind's Eye(Bright Side2 - broom stick), Peachy Keen Stamps(Critter Faces), Stickles(Eucalyptus, Diamond Black), Queen & Co Pearls(Pearl), Wild Orchid Crafts(small orange Rose)

~*~

Hello Everyone,

Thank You for joining me over at My Craft Spot today!

It's technically my week off from DT Assignments, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to create an adorable shaped card for this week's EMBOSS IT! Challenge. For FULL details on the challenge, click HERE.

So without further ado, I send you all my Best Witches with this Witch Turtle Shaped Card.
She was cut from the new Cricut Create A Critter 2 Cartridge at 5-1/2". I cut the Witch Hat and Belly from some scraps I had left from Echo Park Paper Chillingsworth Manor 6x6 Paper Pad.

I replaced the original Hat Buckle for some of My Craft Spot's "Toadally Green" Crinkle Ribbon. I folded the ribbon in half lengthwise to make it thinner to fit around the Witch's Hat. Detailed it with some Black Diamond Stickles and a Rose from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I EMBOSSED her Belly with the Tiny Mosaic Cuttlebug Embossing Folder and added some Eucalyptus Stickles to the edges.

No Witch is complete without her trusty Broom. I cut out the Broom Stick from a scrap piece from the My Mind's Eye On the Bright Side2 6x6 Paper Pad.

I replaced the Broom Bristles with some "Buttercup" Twinery Twine - available HERE at My Craft Spot. Some "Chocolate Truffle" Trendy Twine was used to hold the "Broom Bristles" together, but got hidden behind the Sentiment Tag.

To the Broom, I added a tag stamped with the "Best Witches To You" Sentiment from the My Craft Spot "Best Witches To You" Stamp Set with some "Orange Licorice" Trendy Twine - available HERE at My Craft Spot.

I used some of my homemade deminsionals between the back shell, body and top shell.

I stamped the inside of the Shaped Card with the "Happy Halloween" Sentiment from the My Craft Spot "Ghostly Greetings" Stamp Set.

I hope you have enjoyed my "BEST WITCHES TURTLE" and have inspired you to use some of the amazing My Craft Spot products and use the stamps in creative ways.

If you haven't already joined this week's EMBOSS IT! challenge, there's still time!! You have until Monday, October 22nd 11:59PM MST to enter for your chance to win this week's prize!
